Choose a theme or concept for your clothing line. This can be anything from a style of clothing, to a specific use for the clothes, to the type of fabric you will use.
Research which fabrics, colors, and styles are most popular for that concept.
Design a few pieces for your sample line.
Source the fabrics and materials you need for your line.
Have the sample pieces constructed by a local seamstress or tailor.
Once you have created the samples, photograph them and use them to market your clothing line. You can also use them to build a physical or online lookbook.
Expect to refine and add to your sample line as your business continues to grow.
