Tim Dodd and Lex Fridman became friends in the mid-2000s while living in California. They bonded over their love of science, outer space, and cutting-edge technology. A few years later, they moved to different parts of the world, but stayed connected.

In 2016, they decided to put their shared interest in space exploration to the test and launched Everyday Astronaut, a multimedia platform devoted to exploring outer space and its wonders. It began as a YouTube channel featuring high-quality videos and amazing space facts.

Their website quickly attracted a loyal fanbase who were eager to learn more about our universe. They also held monthly online events and made appearances at various space-related events.

At first, the duo used their knowledge and expertise of space to create content about the various space-related topics. As the channel grew, their content became more complex and extensive, with videos on topics such as space exploration, planet locations, spacecraft technology, and astronomy.

In 2019, they began offering educational outreach programs to students and teachers. They have since developed a course curriculum, space-related lesson plans, and a STEM engagement program.

They are also regular participants in the annual Yuri’s Night, a celebration of the first human space mission and its later achievements.
