There is no current information regarding stimulus checks in 2023. However, the proposed stimulus plans from the four states- Arkansas, Maryland, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts- act as a positive indication for future stimulus support. All four states are proposing plans to allow for stimulus payments to be distributed to eligible households.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps, is also expected to remain relatively unchanged in December and January. The program offers monthly allotments of food- and other necessities- to families and individuals with limited incomes. Benefits are currently set to expire in early January, though reauthorization and supplementary COVID-19 funding are expected to be approved to maintain benefits.
